Southwest Virtual Airlines is proud to officially announce the opening of our newest Crew Base Domicile — Austin, Texas (AUS).
This expansion marks another important step in SVA’s ongoing effort to closely mirror real-world Southwest Airlines (SWA) operations while continuing to grow and modernize the virtual airline.
Austin has become a key city in Southwest Airlines’ real-world network, and the addition of AUS as a crew base allows SVA to more accurately reflect SWA’s basing strategy and operational footprint. By aligning domiciles with real-world counterparts, SVA reinforces its commitment to realism, authenticity, and immersive airline operations for its pilots.
The new Austin crew base will provide pilots with an additional home base option, increasing flexibility in scheduling and flight planning while supporting future network growth. As with all SVA domiciles, AUS is integrated into existing operational systems and standards to ensure a seamless and realistic experience.
